Tres Barnett
My textile pictures explore the richness and vibrancy of colour and texture which can be achieved by layering, manipulating, distorting and stitching a range of textiles and related mixed media. My inspiration can come from anywhere, from an object in a museum, from a face, a photograph and will often be developed through sketch book studies and my own paintings.

I enjoy trying different techniques and textiles, combining them with beads and threads to bring out patterns found in nature. I love colour, and do try to experiment with different shades and hues.

The inspiration for my textile work can come from anywhere around me, nature, exhibitions, photographs and people. Manipulating, distorting, enlarging and combining will lead me to an abstract design which will then be translated into fabrics. I like to hand dye the majority of the material I use and work therefore mostly with natural fibres, incorporating hand and machine embroidery.
Sue Emmerson
My embroidery is influenced by the colour, shapes and textures I see around me. I enjoy bright colours and bold shapes and the process of translating inspiration into embroidered textiles. I like to try different techniques combining traditional stitching with a variety of media but my greatest love is silk.
Mandy Bouttell
My interest in both the natural world and architecture influence my textile work and I often use my own photographs as a basis for my sketch book work.
I like to use different textiles and mixed media, combining these by using a variety of different techniques which nearly always include both hand and machine embroidery.
Marion Leach
My inspiration for a design usually comes from nature. I enjoy dyeing my fabrics and threads using natural or synthetic dyes. When I am working on a project I use all sorts of techniques including spinning, embellishing, felt and paper making as well as hand and machine embroidery. And there are always new materials to use.

Since the success of the last exhibition I have held my second show at Weyhill in Hampshire near my home, which featured ancient lands and beliefs combined with poetry and prose. I continue to create images about Suffolk coast and was part of the FolkEast 16 Art Arcade.
